J Trust Subsidiary’s Acquisition of Subscription Rights to Shares Issued by Group Lease PCL

J Trust Co., Ltd., (hereinafter, “J Trust”) hereby announces that, on March 13, 2017, JTRUST ASIA PTE. LTD., a subsidiary of J Trust, acquired subscription rights to shares issued by Group Lease PCL (the Kingdom of Thailand; Chairman & CEO, Mitsuji Konoshita; listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand; ticker code: GL; hereinafter “GL”).
Following the recent plummet in GL’s share price, J Trust issued a press release “Possible Reason for a Plunge in J Trust’s Share Price on March 8, 2017” on March 10, 2017. As described therein, J Trust believes that the plummet is attributable to false coverage by some media in Thailand. It is irrelevant to GL’s business operations, and will not impact its future performance.

In light of this situation, J Trust acquired subscription rights to GL’s shares, which are considered undervalued.
Thus, our partnership remains intact, and J Trust Group will continue to develop business with GL by focusing on retail finance in Indonesia and other ASEAN markets.
Going forward, J Trust will make an investment decision in a flexible manner when we think the price is reasonable.
